Fresh Off the Press in AJOG MFM: Marchand Institute’s New Meta-Analysis on Single- vs. Double-Layer Uterine Closure and Cesarean Scar Outcomes

The Marchand Institute is pleased to announce that their breakthrough paper, “A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Intraperitoneal Bupivacaine in Laparoscopic Gynecologic Surgery” has been published in this month’s Journal of Pain Research. We are extremely excited about this new paper and the strong evidence it presents for the instillation of bupivacaine in the abdominal cavity at time of laparoscopic surgery (as opposed to subcutaneous use or nerve blockade.) Jokingly at the institute we reference that perhaps the bartender had it right all along – just pour it in!
